Garnet abrasives

Noya Enterprises produces premium Almandine Garnet, the only eco-friendly abrasive mineral in the world, and one of the few recyclable types. Its inherent grain hardness and sharpness guarantee productivity and efficiency, achieving the required finish. Garnet can remove dust, soluble salts and other contaminants without embedding deposits or causing rough peaks and troughs that are typical of some waste slags. During the abrasive blasting process, an abrasive particle’s speed is a function of its size. Smaller grains are met with less inertia, and are therefore able to accelerate quickly, through sheer volume, imparting higher energy onto a surface. This leads to a faster and more efficient clean; twice the area per hour of conventional abrasives. Garnet abrasives produce lower dust emissions compared to silica sand and other abrasive alternatives. Our garnet’s toughness and rapid settling minimize contamination, eliminating visibility issues and other safety challenges.

Coal slag

Coal slag is a recycled product produced by coal-burning plants. When coal is fired at over 1,000°C, it melts and produces slag as a by-product. The slag is cooled through a process called vitrification, which solidifies it into sharp, angular granules. This slag is then reclaimed, dried, crushed and sorted into different grades of blasting abrasives. Noya’s coal slag offers increased speed and effective cutting that results in an immaculate clean. Our slag is able to blast through the toughest adhesives and paints and can eradicate all types of iron oxides.

Copper slag

Copper slag is a by-product of copper extraction by smelting. During smelting, impurities become slag and float on the molten copper. The slag particles are then quenched in water to produce angular granules of blasting abrasives. Noya’s copper slag is 20% heavier than other mineral slags, thus this abrasive is able to cut faster at smaller volumes. It is also approved for reuse, which further stretches supply life.

Petroleum coke

Petroleum coke, or petcoke, is a product produced from all types of oil (light/heavy crudes) during the oil refining process. Petcoke is used in a wide range of applications including aluminum manufacturing, fuels, and products including steel, glass, paint, and fertilizers. Petroleum coke is also used as a fuel in power generation, cement kilns and other industries.
